We can fix it by removing Spyware, Viruses or unwanted programs which all contribute to making your computer seem like it has been dipped in molasses.

If it is in a really bad state, it may need to be wiped and reloaded. We start by backing up the whole hard drive, including documents, music, photos, favourites, emails, address book etc.

We then format the hard drive and reload the operating system (e.g. Windows XP). All drivers (video, audio, network etc) are restored and relevant data is copied back after it has been scanned for viruses & spyware. Email is imported and accounts restored.

Your computer is then operating as fast as its hardware will allow it, and most people are very happy with the result. "good as new - maybe better"

We can also look at upgrading the RAM, size of the hard drive storage and possibly a backup system.

All Microsoft security updates are installed and anti-virus and anti-spyware software is installed. Brief training on updating this software is given so that future spyware and virus corruption is minimised.
